Koompanpara Temple is located about 5 km from
Kallummel Kallu in
Idukki District. It is near
Thookupalam. Koompanpara Temple is an ancient temple believed to have been visited by the
Pandavas during their passage through the forest. A large single rock on the northern side facing Kallummel Kallu, makes up one of the four sidewalls of the temple.
Buses plying on Kumily-
Kattappana route can take one to Thookupalam, where lodging facilities are available.
