Koladvipa




Koladvipa, the fifth island of Navadvipa, lies on the western side of the Ganges. The ancient name of this town was Kuliya. Sri Koladeva (also known as Varaha) is said to have appeared at this place.

Koladvipa is also home to the Kuliya Hill. To the northern side of this place is Bahulavana and the southern side is Rasa Sthali. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is also said to have visited this place. Since it is told that all the sins are freed by visiting here, it is also known as Aparadha Bharjan Parta.

Samudra Garh, Champahatti and Sri Gaura Gadadhara Gaudiya Math are worth visiting place on the island. It can be reached by bus or bike rickshaw from Navadvipa.
