Ketti is a picturesque hamlet located 100 km from
Coimbatore, on the way to
Coonoor, in
Tamil Nadu. The place boasts the highest railway station in the country, at an altitude of 7000 ft, on the
Nilgiri Mountains.
Places of tourist interest include Wenlock Downs, the Municipal Gardens and Doddabetta Peak, at 2,623 m - the highest in the Nilgiris. A stroll around the village in the afternoon, enjoying the enchanting sight of the endless tea gardens, will be an invigorating experience.
Nearest airport is at Coimbatore. Ooty Railway station is a major railhead nearby. Regular buses connect Ketti with Ooty, Coonoor, Kotagiri and Coimbatore.
