Kangchup is picnic spot located 16 km west of
Imphal, the capital city of
Manipur. The site is on a hill top, at an altitude of 920 m above the sea level. The panoramic view of the Manipur valley from here is simply breathtaking.
The presence of Singda Dam in the vicinity contributes to its status as a much sought after tourist spot. Zoological Gardens situated on the Kangchup-Imphal road are the nearby excursions. Kangchup can be accessed from Ukhrul via Litan.
