Juma Mosque is a historic monument situated at
Kalpeni in
Lakshadweep. This mosque is believed to have been built by
Ubadidullah, a missionary who arrived in Lakshadweep in the year 663 for spreading
Islam religion. Similar ancient mosques attributed to the saint are located at
Amini,
Agatti and
Kavaratti islands.
