One of the biggest tribal villages in Asia, Hong is located in
Lower Subansiri District and is about 7 km south of
Ziro, the district headquarters. The main inhabitants of the villager are the Apatani tribe.
Hong village is a collection of a few dozen grey houses, built from bamboo and roofed by palm leaves. Bulla, Dutta, Hair, Hija, Michi Bamin and Modan Tage are surrounding villages inhabited by the Apatani tribe.
Tezpur Airport is the nearest airport. North Lakhimpur Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.
