Gunjong

Gunjong, situated 15 km north of Haflong, is in North Cachar Hills District. It is bounded by Kobak in the west, Langting in the north and Mupa in the east.

Prime attraction close to Gunjong is Haflong, the only hill station in Assam, and the Haflong Lake. Maibong , the erstwhile capital of the Kachari kingdom from the 16th to 18th century, and Ranachandi Temple are the other major destinations.

Silchar Airport (44 km) and Langting Railway Station serve this region.
