Gudraippattu is located about 11 km south of Tindivanam in Viluppuram District. Vallam is 13 km north, Kiliyanur is 17 km east and Perani is 9 km south.

The famous pilgrim center of Mailam is only a short drive from here. Tiruvakkarai, Auroville and Kaliveli Lake are accessible from Gudraippattu.
