Thiruvananthapuram, Divya Prabha Eye Hospital is dedicated to the protection and preservation of vision. It was founded by Dr Suseela Prabhakaran, the founder director of Regional Institute of Ophthalmology.
This 10,000 sq ft hospital has a theater complex along with air-conditioned outpatient clinics. The theatre complex features a sterile air corridor with separate theatres for cataract and glaucoma surgeries, emergency surgeries and septic procedures. Each is equipped with UV lamps, fumigators, and water and air purifiers. The optical shop in the premises has wide range of Indian and imported frames, sunglasses and safety eye wear.
The center building of the hospital is at Burma Road Junction on the Kumarapuram-Kannammoola road. The patients, who come by train, can alight at Pettah Railway Station. Divya Prabha has another building at Oolanpara Junction on the Peroorkada-Sasthamangalam road.
