Dhamma Suvatthi is located at
Sravasti, in
Shravasti District of
Uttar Pradesh. It lies on 9 acres of green land providing an ideal place for meditators. The center is located close to
Jetavana Monastery, the site where
Buddhaspent about 25 years.
Dhamma Suvatthi aims to promote the practice of Vipassana, one of India's most ancient meditation techniques. Vipassana is the practical spirit of the teachings of Buddha, who taught Dhamma - the Universal Law of Nature.
The center offers regular meditation courses. The Dhamma hall can accommodate nearly 200 students. Separate dining hall are provided for male and female students. Accommodation facilities are provided for 70 students.
Balrampur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
