Dangamal

Dangamal lies in the Kendrapada District of Orissa. It is famous for the Dangamal Crocodile Research Farm situated inside the Bhitarkanika Sanctuary and National Park. Since its inception in 1975, the center ensures to protect the endangered Saltwater Crocodile.

Dangamal has a Forest Rest House situated amid tall coconut trees. There is also a fenland at the edge of the jungle. A 45-minute boat-ride from Dangamal brings one to Bird Island.

Bhadrak Railway Station is the nearest railhead. From Bhadrak, jeep can be used to reach Chandbali (42km), from where ferry services links the island. Biju Patnaik Airport is about 154 km from Bhadrak.
