Situated on the banks of the
river Shyok, Chummed is a small settlement in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It lies to the north-east of
Leh.
Chummed is surrounded by Yargulak in the north, Rongdu in the west and Shukpa Kunzang in the south. Mandaltang Peak is within a short distance from here.
Chummed is accessible from Mandaltong, Sultan Chhushku and Shyok.
