Chatachara is a small sleepy village in southern
Assam's
Hailakandi District, close to
Mizoram border.
The market town of Katlicherra and Kukichara are 23 and 18 km respectively from here. Kolasib, the district headquarters of Kolasib District in Mizoram, is 27 km east of it.
Chatachara is easily accessible from National Highway 154 ( Bilkhawthlir- Bairabi-Panchgram road). Katlicherra Railway Station serves this village
