Candola

Candola, also spelt Khandola, is at the northern end of Ponda taluk, close to its border with Tiswadi and Bicholim taluks, in North Goa District. Orgao is roughly 3 km away and Volvoi is 10 km south-east.

The Bhagavati and Ganesh temples - on the banks of the Mandovi - are the major temples in this area. To savor the antique flavor of Goa, one can visit theSe Cathedral Church, Church of St Francis of Assisi and the Basilica of Bom Jesus, around 12 km away in Old Goa.

Goa Airport and Karmali Railway Station are the main access points.
