Barhni is a rural township in
Siddharthnagar District. It is situated to the north of
Naugarh, the district headquarters.
Gorakhpur and
Lucknow are 105 km and 220 km respectively from Barhni. Siwanagar, Mundela and Itwa are its neighboring places.
Major tourist attraction is Kapilvastu, modern Piprahwa which is at a distance of 20 km from Naugarh.
Barhni is accessible by road and rail from different parts of the state. Barhni Railway Station and Amausi Airport serve the town.
