Ballahi Range is situated about 9 km south-west of
Bhandara in
Maharashtra. It is the collective name given to two isolated hill ranges, each about 5 km long and about 2 km wide.
These hills are underlain by sandstones, quartzites and granulites. Having a height of about 400 m above sea level, these hills overhang the Great Eastern Road on either side. The most prominent feature is that these landscapes can be seen for quite some distance along the road.
