Asiwan is a rural township situated in Unnao District. It lies to the north of Unnao, the district headquarters. It is 9 km north-east of Safipur and 8 km south of Auras.
The ancient village of Bangarmau, on the Unnao-Hardoi road, is about 16 km north-west of Asiwan.
