Ashfaqulla Khan was born in the early part of the 20th century at
Shahjahanpur in
Uttar Pradesh. As a revolutionary he joined
Ramprasad Bismil in the revolutionary movement against the British. Ashfaqulla Khan also took part in the formation of Hindustan Republican Association.
Ashfaqulla Khan had participated in Kakori Rail Dacoity. After this robbery he escaped to Bihar and got a job as a clerk in an engineering firm. Later Ashfaqulla Khan was arrested from Delhi and the court sentenced him to death. He was hanged to death on 19th December 1927.
