Arka Brahma Temple

Arka Brahma Temple is one of the nine significant temples (Nava-Brahma Temples) in Alampur, a Shaivite center located 217 km from Hyderabad, in Andhra Pradesh. This 7th century shrine takes after the carvings of the ancient rock cut temples found in the western part of India.

The shikhara of the temple consists of curved lines and are enhanced with the miniature architectural devices. The vagaries of time had eaten in to this architectural marvel; authority negligence also resulted in its present sad state.

It is believed that the temple was built by Lord Brahma.
