Pirakata

Pirakata is a small town, located about 17 km south-west of Salboni, in Midnapore District, West Bengal. Nearby prominent towns are Lalgarh in the west, Goaltor and Ramgarh in the north, and Godapiasal in the east. Kanak Durga Mandir near Chilkigarh and Chandrakona, a village noted for its temples, are two points of interest near the town. Midnapore Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
