Kulai is a pilgrim center located on the banks of Ajaya River in
Bardhaman District. The place got its importance at it is the place where Lord Chaitanya took rest. The disciples of the lord, Sri Govinda, Sri Madhava and Sri Vasudeva took birth at this place. The main town nearby is Katwa which is 10 miles north-west.
Visitors can approach this place by bus from Katwa. The nearest railway station is at Katwa and the airport is at
Dum Dum.
