Barnia

Barnia is in Nadia District of West Bengal, about 18 km east of Plassey. Nearby towns are Debagram, 15 km to the west; Amtala, 21 km to the north; Tehata; 12 km to the east and Nakasipara, 18 km to the south.

The major tourist destinations around the town include Sonargouranga temple (the temple with the golden statue of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu), Chandroday Temple, Roman Catholic Church, Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary, Navadvipa and Saligram.
