Ampata

A small settlement, Ampata is in Tehri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. It is on the state highway connecting Narendra Nagar and Chamba. Some of the nearby cities and villages are Kaddukhal, Nagni, Jaulangi and Gaja.

One of the tributaries of the River Ganges flows through this village. New Tehri is the nearest major town.

Ampata is well connected by regular buses from Rishikesh and New Tehri. Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport. Rishikesh Railway Station serves this area.
