Balrampur District of
Uttar Pradesh is surrounded by
Shravasti District in the north-west,
Gonda District in the south-west,
Basti District in the south, and
Siddharthnagar District in the south-east. It also has an international border with Nepal. The region covers a total area of 3,457 sq km. The district headquarters is at
Balrampur. Balrampur District was formed in 1997 by splitting Gonda District.
Tourist spots include a large palace, a modern temple and an Anglo-vernacular school.
