Also called Taipur, Tajpur is a town in Ghazipur District. It is situated in the eastern part of the district, close to Ballia District. The district headquarters, Ghazipur, lies to the west of it and it is 16 km from Buxar and 112 km from Varanasi.
Situated midway between Muhammadabad and Rasra, Tajpur has Karimuddinpur and Newada in its west, Nagpura and Aundi in its north, Chit Baragaon and Anjorpur in its east.
