Gagargarh

A town on the banks of the Ghaghra, Gagargarh is in Sant Kabir Nagar District. It lies to the south of Khalilabad, the district headquarters, and is 47 km from Gorakhpur.

Maghar, a town where the cenotaph of Kabirdas is located, and Bakhira, a village famous for Bakhira Wildlife Sanctuary, can be accessed by road from here.

The town has direct road links to Gola, Khalilabad and Haraiya. Khalilabad Railway Station and Varanasi Airport serve Gagargarh.
