Dura is a small village located 9 km east of Fatehpur Sikri, in Agra District. The district headquarters, Agra is 35 km away.
Fatehpur Sikri, a well planned city built in red sandstone by Akbar in honor of Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti, has famous structures of fine Indo-Islamic architecture style. The most interesting among them are the Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and Pachisi Court.
