Bara-Banki




Bara-Banki, also called Nawabganj, is the seat of administration of Bara-Banki District. It is a major agricultural market and cotton-weaving center in the district. Bara-Banki is 29 km east of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.

Places of tourist interest include Lodheswar temple, Siddhaur Siddheshwar Mahadev temple, Ghanta Ghar, Dewa Sharief and Methodist Church.

Nearest airport is at Lucknow. Bara-Banki Junction Railway Station is a prominent railhead of the district. National Highway 28 passes through Bara-Banki.
