Alapur is a historical town in Dataganj taluk of Budaun District. It is located about 20 km south-east of Budaun, the district headquarters.
The town is said to have been founded by the emperor Ala-ud-din Alam Shah of the Saiyid Dynasty after his resignation in 1450 from the Delhi Sultanate. A mosque built during the period of Aurangzeb is the main attraction inside the town.
