Thondamuthur is a small settlement situated 10 km to the west of Coimbatore in Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu. Bordered by the Western Ghats, the place spans an area of seven sq km.
Thondamuthur is surrounded by Perur in the east, Pooluvapatti in the south, Vadavalli and Veerakeralam in the north-east, Madukkarai in the south-east and Alandurai in the south-west.
