Pavithiram, also spelt Pavithram, is a small settlement in Karur District, Tamil Nadu. Inam Karur is situated in the east, Thanthoni in the south-east, Chennasamudaram in the north-west and Nagamballi in the south. Karur is the nearest major city. Tourist spots worth visiting are Pasupatheeswarar Temple and Government Museum at Karur, Maha Lakshmi Amman Temple at Krishanarayapuram, Sri Kalyanapasupatheeswarar Temple, Kalyana Venkattaramasami Temple at Thanthoni, Vennaimalai Subramanyar Temple and Tiruveengoimalai Maragathachaleswarar Temple. Hotel Nandhini and Hotel Valluvar at Karur provide accommodation. Tiruchirapalli Airport is the nearest airport. Karur Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Pavithiram is easily accessible from Karur and Kangeyam. National Highway 67 passes through the town.
