Muttattur

Muttattur of Viluppuram District lies on the Viluppuram-Gingee State Highway, about 15 km south of Gingee and 20 km north of Viluppuram. Devadanampettai is in the north-west, Vikravandi and Perani in the east and Odiyattur in the south.

Mailam (a renowned pilgrim center), forts at Gingee and Tiruvakkarai (famous for National Fossil Wood Park) are accessible from here.

Perani Railway Station, Vikravandi Railway Station and Mundiyambakkam Railway Station are the nearest rail access points. Prominent railhead nearby is Villuparam Junction Railway Station . Chennai International Airport is 124 km north.
