Kurangaaduturai Temples

Ten Kurangaaduturai Temple and Vada Kurangaaduturai Temple are two important Shivasthalams located in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. Known as Kurangaaduturai Temples, these two ancient shrines were believed to have been worshipped by Sugreeva and Bali.

Ten Kurangaaduturai got its name from its location to the south of the Cauvery River, at Aduthurai. Vada Kurangaaduturai is so called because of its location to the north of the Cauvery River, near Tiruvaiyaru. Kurangaaduturai Temples can be easily accessed by bus from Kumbakonam.
