The most sought after tourist destination in south, Ooty like most other hill stations in the country was a summer retreat of the British. It is located in the green hills of
Nilgiris at an altitude of 2,268 m and is also known as Udhagamandalam or Ootacamund. The scenic beauty of Ooty along with the shroud of mist has inspired many film makers.

Mettupalayam and the ride is eye-catching. The major railway station nearby is at Coimbatore. Ooty is well connected by road to
