Chemathang is located 8 km from Thangsing in West Sikkim District. It lies at an altitude of about 4,800 m, on the
Goecha Pass trek route. High altitude birds and blue sheeps are found here. The entire region commands panoramic views of high cliffs and deep valleys. Chemathang is surrounded by thick bushes. Pelling, Samiti Lake, Dzongri and Bakhim are nearby attractive destinations.
