Hanumangarh District




Carved out from Ganganagar District, Hanumangarh District lies in the northern part of Rajasthan. It is surrounded by Churu and Bikaner districts in the south, Ganganagar District in the east, and the states of Haryana and Punjab in the north-east. It has a total area of 12,650 sq km. The population is over 1.5 million.

The climate is semi-dry, extremely hot in summer and highly cold during winter. The average rainfall is 225 to 300 mm.

The main attractions are Bhatner Durg, Kalibanga and Sangaria. Gogameri mela, Bhadrakalim Mela, Pallu mela, and Shila Mata mela are celebrated.
