Ranau, alternately spelt Ranao, is a small town in Jaisalmer District of Rajasthan. It lies on the Jaisalmer- Kishangarh road, about 32 km to the north of Ramgarh. Tanot is 19 km to the north and Kishangarh is 27 km to the north-east of this desert town.
The other towns which surround Ranau are Sadhan, Hadda and Bhuttewala.
