Kasar Sirsi

Kasar Sirsi is a small historical town situated in Latur District, near its border with Osmanabad District, in Maharashtra. Ancient scriptures unearthed from the place that dates to around 696-697 AD testifies the age of the settlement. Umarga is about 10 km north-east.

Dharashiv Caves, Tuljapur, Naldurg Fort, Bidar fort, Solah Khamba Masjid and Bahamani Tombs at Bidar, and Nilanga are some short excursions outside Kasar Sirsi.

Nearest airport is at Pune. Solapur Junction Railway Station serves Kasar Sirsi.
