Harihareshwar, dubbed as ‘Dakshin Kashi’, is one of the finest places in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. This small town is noted for the Kalbhairav Temple, located on the seashore, and the tranquil and picturesque beach. Harihareshwar is 130 km to the west of Pune.

Places of tourist interest include the 'Harihar' or 'Pushpadri' hill - on the seashore, Bangkot Fort and Shrivardhan (5 km), which is famous for its forts, temples and golden beaches.

The nearest railway station is at Mangaon (65 km). Harihareshwar is about 200 km south of Mumbai by road. Goregaon (60 km), on Mumbai-Goa highway, is a major town nearby.
