Located 26 km from
Guhagar, Gopalgad is a historical fort in the fishing village of Anjanvel. Half an hour's trek through the woods leads to the top of this ruined fort. The fort, covering an area of 7 acres has a small lighthouse and two ancient temples on its top. The views from the top are truly stunning.
There are plenty of local buses that ply from the main bus terminus at Dapoli to Guhagar. From Guhagar, tourists can avail private vehicles to Anjanvel.
