Dindori District is located in the eastern part of
Madhya Pradesh. The geographical area is 7,427 sq km with a population of 600,000.
Dindori is important for its many historical and spiritual destinations. Laxman Mandva, Kukaramath, and Kalchuri Kali Mandir are the main spiritual centers. The nearby attractions are Kanha National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, Ghughuva National Fossils Park, and Dagona Waterfall.
Dindori is rich in forests. Sua, Dashera, Doha and Sumran, Karma, Reena, Shaila, Bilma and Jharpat are some of the religious and social festival dances celebrated by the tribes. People are skilful in painting, sculpting and tattoo imprinting on body parts.
