Gohad




Gohad is a historic town situated about 45 km south-west of Bhind, in Bhind District, Madhya Pradesh. It was founded by a Jat family and was the stronghold of Malhar Rao Holkar, in the mid 18th century.

Major attraction of the town is the Fort of Gohad. The Jain Temples of Baranso, Mata Renuka Temple, Naraddev Temple and the Fort of Ater are some other spots worth visiting in the vicinity.

Nearest airport is at Gwalior. Closest railway station is at Bhind. By road, Gohad is linked with Gwalior, Bhind, Agra, Jalaun, Etawah and Morena.
