Ujra mosque is the most beautiful mosque in
Kavaratti,
Lakshadweep. It is one of the fifty two mosques spread out over the Kavaratti island. It is a fine example of the skill of the Kavaratti craftsmen. The mosque has ornately carved ceiling said to have been carved from a piece of driftwood. The patterns are intricate, picked out in harmonious shades of pale green and dark red. There is a well in the mosque whose water is believed to have curative powers.
