Vadakkancheri is a pretty town in Palakkad District of Kerala. (There is another 'Wadakanchery' in Thrissur District.) It is the administrative headquarters of Thalappilli taluk in the district. Vadakkancheri is located about 35 km south-west of Palakkad and is 340 km north-east of the state capital, Thiruvananthapuram.
