State Highway 2

State Highway 2 links the state capital, Thiruvananthapuram, with the eco-tourism destination of Thenmala in Kollam District. The highway falls in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts and touches some major towns and villages on the way. State Highway 2 starts at Thiruvananthapuram and passes north-east through Peroorkada, Karakulam, Azhikode junction and Pazhakutty, before reaching Anad. In Kollam, Kanur is the first major settlement lying along the State Highway 2. Past Kanur, the highway continues its way north-east, touching Madathara and Kulathupuzha, to eventually join with National Highway 208 at Thenmala junction.
