National Highway 208, declared a national highway in January 1999, links Kollam in Kerala with Tirumangalam in Tamil Nadu. It has a total length of 195 km of which 70 km is in Kerala and the rest in Tamil Nadu.
Kundara, Kottarakkara, Thenmala and Punalur are some major towns located along the highway on the Kerala side. It leaves Kerala at Aryankavu and passes through Tenkasi,
Sivagiri, Rajapalayam and Srivilliputtur before merging with NH 7 at Tirumangalam, 18 km south-west of Madurai.
