A small village, Muliyar is in
Kasargod District of
Kerala. It lies around 10 km east of
Kasargod, the district headquarters.

The place is famous for Mallam Durga Parameswari Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga. The seven day long annual festival celebrated in this temple attracts devotees from far and near. LBS College of Engineering, a self financing engineering college, is situated at Muliyar.
Kasargod Railway Station serves this area. Mangalore Airport, around 50 km from Kasargod, is the nearest airport.
