Alathiyur

A small village, Alathiyur is in Malappuram District of Kerala. It is situated near Tirur and can be easily accessed from there. The village is famous for two temples: Alathiyur Sri Rama Temple and Alathiyur Hanuman Temple. The annual festivals celebrated in these temples attract thousands of devotees from far and near. Tirur River and Trikkandiyur, the birth place of Thunchath Ramanujan Ezhuthachan, are the points of interest nearby. Regular bus services connect Alathiyur with Tirur and Malappuram. Tirur Railway Station serves this area. Calicut Airport is the nearest airport.
