Sri Ananthapadmanabha Temple is situated at Hebri near
Karkala in
Udupi District. The main deity of the temple is Lord Ananthapadmanabha (
Lord Vishnu). The idol in standing form is made up of beautiful black granite.
The temple also possesses a temple cart (Ratha). Every year, starting from the day of Kumbha Sankramana, a festival called Gounothsava is celebrated here with great fervor. It extends for about five days. In the temple premises, the shrines of Kshethrapala, Khadga Ravana and Dhoomavathi are also present.
