Murgu

Murgu is a town located in Gumla District of Jharkhand. It is about 15 km north-east of Gumla.

The towns of Toto, Kumarkera, Sisai and Duria surround Murgu.

Nearby attractions are Mahadev Kona, Mahamaya Temple at Hapamuni, Parvati Temple at Devaki, Aanjan, Nagar and Nagfeni. Ruins of a tribal fort, built on the pattern of the famous Gwalior Fort, near Sisai is also worth for a visit.

Ranchi - the state capital - is around 78 km away. Ranchi Railway Station and Ranchi Airport serve the town. National Highway 23 has its route close to Murgu.
